About the Layout

For Severed Soul, I usually try to make the layouts abstract and designs that are made from scratch. This is because it is my personal [portfolio] site, and I don't want it to have a layout that is based off anything, such as characters from a movie, etc.

Current Layout

This is probably the first (and possibly last) layout that has this many colors. But I like it. Of course I like it, otherwise I wouldn't use it.

The result of this abstract image is due to the tutorial found here. I found that tutorial through looking at the list of tutorials available for Photoshop effects at Good-Tutorials. Most of the brushes I used can all be found at that tutorial page, since the author provided the links to them. Otherwise, brushes can be found in Photoshop's preset and in Celestial Star's collection of brushes, titled Starry night by Melfina.

I don't normally give titles to the layouts I make for Severed Soul, but after I completed this layout, I couldn't help but name it Vivid Life.

1st Layout: Up from July 31st, 2007 - May 24th, 2009

This layout doesn't really have a title, but a simple title would be: Fire.

There isn't much to say about this layout, except how I learned how to do the fire effect as the main image for the layout. The tutorial on how to create fire [in Adobe Photoshop] was found at Ningen's Anime Wallpapers on this page.
